Get your local school upgraded with solar
Oxfordshire County Council’s (OCC) interest-free Schools Energy Efficiency Loan Scheme has been extended for another year, running until March 2026.
Schools can apply for up to £70,000 to fund the installation of LED lighting, solar PV, and/or battery storage. We recognise that every school has unique energy needs, so the scheme offers flexibility—allowing you to choose the most suitable solution based on your priorities.
This loan is a great opportunity to reduce your school’s energy consumption, helping to lower operational costs while demonstrating leadership in tackling climate change within your community.
The loan scheme is now open for applications, which will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
For more information and support with your application, visit the Action on Carbon & Energy in Schools (ACES)—a dedicated, OCC-funded service providing expert advice on energy efficiency.
