Find out how to look after your clothes

Fast fashion aims to make and sell as many clothes as quickly and cheaply as possible, putting pressure on consumers to buy more.
This has huge environmental impacts, including:
- Increased emissions: the fashion industry consumes more energy than the aviation and shipping industry combined.
- Water used to produce one cotton t-shirt is 2,700 litres, enough for 900 days (2.5 years) worth of drinking water, or one pair of jeans is 7,500 litres (2,500 days, almost 7 years).
Looking after your clothes keeps them in circulation for longer, meaning you don't have to lose your favourite top, skirt, or trousers to a stain.
